    Wishing all of our members, friends and highland pony enthusiasts worldwide a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

    Thank you for all your support, enthusiasm and commitment to the Highland Pony and the Society throughout 2025.

    Office Closure: The office will be closed for the holiday break until Monday, January 5th, 2026.

    Note: The elves are still working on some of the registration applications received close to the November deadline – completed paperwork will be distributed shortly!

  • Sally Coutts – Funeral Details

    It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sally Coutts at age 94.

    Sally was a long-standing member and former president of the Highland Pony Society, as well as an accomplished panel judge. Working alongside her late husband, Captain Ben Coutts, she raised ponies under the Woodburn prefix.

    Our sincere condolences go to her family and friends during this difficult time.

    Funeral Service: Saturday, November 15th at 2:00 PM
    Location: Muthill Parish Church, Scotland

    All who wish to celebrate her life are welcome to attend.

  • Judges Study Day – 26th October 2025

    The Highland Pony Society is organizing a professional development session for Panel and Probationer Judges.

    Event Details

    Date: 26th October 2025
    Time: 10am – 3pm
    Location: Totleywells Equestrian Centre, Winchburgh, EH52 6QJ

    What to Expect

    Morning tea/coffee and a light lunch will be provided. Judges wishing to contribute homemade baking are most welcome! Please bring your own seating.

    Important: All Society panel judges must attend a Judges Study Day at least once every 5 years to maintain their credentials.

    A reminder that applications for the Highland Pony Society Judges Scheme are now closing.

    If you are interested in becoming a judge for the Highland Pony Society, please ensure your application is submitted before the deadline.

  • Highland Pony Society Youngstock Finals 🏆

    There is still time to get your entries in for the Youngstock Finals!

    Event Details

    Scottish Final: Sunday, September 7th at CSHPC Show, Strathallan
    South Final: Sunday, September 21st at HPEC Autumn Show, Selby

    Mrs. Jean Ralston from Perthshire will judge both finals.

    Prizes & Recognition

    • Overall champions and reserves receive cash prizes plus rosettes
    • Champions also earn a sash, trophy, and HPS Bronze Medal
    • All finalists coming forward receive a cash prize and a Finalist rosette

    Entry Requirements

    Participants must submit their qualification cards to the HPS office to register their entries in their chosen final division.
